FAQ
What type of coffee do you offer?
We offer a variety of single-origin coffees from around the world. All our coffees offered through our website are roasted using 100% Arabica Coffee Beans. Arabica coffee is a species of coffee plant that is widely considered to produce some of the finest coffee in the world. It is one of the two main species of coffee beans, the other being Robusta. Arabica coffee is characterized by its mild and nuanced flavor profile, with notes of fruit, sugar, and floral tones, as well as a relatively low caffeine content. This makes it popular among specialty coffee roasters, who appreciate the complexity and subtlety of its flavor profile. Arabica coffee plants are also more demanding to grow than Robusta plants and require specific growing conditions, such as high altitude and a consistent climate, which makes it a more expensive and sought-after commodity.

How should I store my coffee?
-
- Store coffee in an airtight container: This will keep the coffee fresh by preventing air, moisture, and light from affecting it.
- Keep it in a cool, dark place: A pantry or cupboard away from heat, light, and moisture sources is ideal. Avoid storing coffee in a damp basement or near a stove, for example.
- Avoid the fridge or freezer: Although the temperature is cool, the fluctuations in temperature and humidity can harm the coffee.
- Use the coffee within 2 weeks of opening the bag: Once coffee has been opened, its flavor and freshness will degrade over time. If you can’t use it all within 2 weeks, consider storing the coffee in smaller airtight containers so you can use it more quickly.
- Consider buying whole bean coffee: Whole bean coffee will stay fresher longer than pre-ground coffee because the oils in ground coffee can become rancid more quickly. If you buy whole bean coffee, grind it just before brewing for the best flavor.
How do I brew the perfect cup of coffee?
Brewing the perfect cup of coffee is a matter of personal preference, but here are some general guidelines that can help:
-
- Use fresh, high-quality coffee beans: The quality of your coffee beans will greatly affect the taste of your coffee, so choose the best beans you can find. It’s best to buy whole bean coffee and grind it just before brewing.
- Use the right water temperature: The ideal water temperature for brewing coffee is between 195°F and 205°F. If the water is too hot, it will extract too much bitterness from the coffee beans. If the water is too cool, the coffee will be weak and flavorless.
- Use the right amount of coffee: A general rule of thumb is to use 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee for every 6 ounces of water. However, this can vary based on personal taste and the strength of the coffee you prefer.
- Choose the right brewing method: There are many ways to brew coffee, including drip coffee makers, French presses, pour-over coffee makers, and espresso machines. Each method has its own unique flavor profile, so choose the one that best suits your taste.
- Experiment with different brewing techniques: Once you’ve chosen your brewing method, you can experiment with different techniques to refine your perfect cup of coffee. For example, you can try adjusting the grind size, brewing time, or water-to-coffee ratio to see what works best for you.
Remember, the key to brewing the perfect cup of coffee is to find what works best for you and your taste preferences. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things!

Do you offer decaf coffee options?
Absolutely! We offer a medium/dark roast decaf coffee from Mexico that is decaffeinated using the Mountain Water Process. The Mountain Water Process (MWP) is a method of decaffeinating coffee that uses pure, fresh water from the Swiss Alps to extract the caffeine from the coffee beans. The Mountain Water Process is considered a natural and gentle method of decaffeination, as it does not use any chemicals or solvents to extract the caffeine. This results in a decaf coffee that retains much of the original flavor and aroma of the coffee, and is considered by many to be a superior product compared to other decaffeination methods.
